What is an instructional analysis?

It’s a fancy way of saying you gather together all the products from your front-end analysis and analyze them, looking for new relationships and getting a better handle on the “big picture”.   

This step, depending as it does on a lot of painstaking and sometimes boring prerequisite work, is actually a lot of fun because it’s like “incubating” a problem and then having lots of ideas appear, as if by magic, through the process of insight.   As with all brainstorming, most of the ideas won’t pan out; but occasionally a really good one appears!
