Full-Motion Video Games

What's a Full-Motion Video Game?

It's a game where users get different snippets of video depending on what the choices they make.  This method is often used for simulations: for example, Lexus (the auto company) uses branching-video training to train its salespeople.

Squares:

This game from Barbara Brown and Associates(about $50) cleverly allows you to substitute your own video snippets.  If you've ever watched the Hollywood Squares TV show, you'll understand the rules immediately.

This picture shows a simple video editing program where I'm editing a WebQuest assignment I call "Mission: Improbable".  I projected Tom Cruise on the screen behind me, donned shades, and gave my "secret agents" their marching orders. My lips are hidden so I can change the audio track each semester.
